DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT AND ADMINISTRATION
Debbie Rabinowitz has served as Director of Development for Pathways L.A. since April 2015. In this capacity, she develops, leads, and manages all fundraising activities — including establishing and cultivating relationships with individual and corporate donors, philanthropic organizations and community partnerships. Debbie brings to Pathways L.A. over 30 years of senior-development and public-relations experience including working as the Director of Development and Communications for Jewish Family Services of Central Maryland and Executive Director of Prevention Services for Anne Arundel County, Maryland. As a Maryland-based independent consultant, Debbie was Executive International Talk Show Producer for WCBM radio, U.S. media representative for visiting foreign dignitaries, and Director of Training and Spokesperson for several government agencies. Immediately prior to joining Pathways L.A., Debbie was principal of her own Los Angeles-based consulting firm, which raised several million dollars for major nonprofits in Southern California
Debbie has received numerous professional awards including: STAR Fellow of Darrell Friedman Institute, US/HHS/SAMSHA Exemplary Program Award for Hispanic Initiative, Office of Attorney General Spotlight on Prevention Award, Anne Arundel County Department of Health/Health Officer’s Commendation for Outstanding Service, Governor’s Citation to Study Media and Violence Impact on Youth, Maryland Public Television Project Reach Out Award for Outstanding Community Involvement for Volunteerism, and March of Dimes Order of the Battered Boot. Currently, she is a board member of Durable Medical Equipment Society.
Debbie holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Baltimore and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Towson University.
