Celebrating Under the Stars: A Memorable Event
On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, Pathways LA hosted an “Under the Stars” themed celebration to honor our preschool graduates. Families gathered to enjoy a special musical performance by the graduating class, capturing moments of joy and pride. Certificates of recognition were presented to each graduate by Assemblymember Rick Zbur, celebrating their hard work and achievements. The event concluded with a delightful Mediterranean lunch, adding to the festivity of the occasion.
“We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our preschool graduates. Watching them grow, learn, and develop has been a joy. We know they will continue to achieve great things as they move on to the next stage of their education,” shared Site Supervisor Martha Ortega.
The Heart of Our Preschool Program
At Pathways LA, our preschool program is designed to meet the unique developmental needs of each child. We believe in building a bridge between school and home, ensuring that our environment is responsive and individualized. Our philosophy is rooted in the understanding that play is a crucial aspect of early childhood development. Through a play-based curriculum, we provide activities and materials that support children’s social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive growth.
Our program serves children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, operating year-round from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. We maintain low adult-to-child ratios to ensure personalized attention: 1 adult per 3 infants, 1 adult per 4 toddlers, and 1 adult per 8 preschoolers.
A Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
Pathways LA is dedicated to creating a diverse and inclusive environment where children learn compassion, patience, and acceptance of others. Our curriculum is designed to be developmentally appropriate and relevant, fostering a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. We aim to develop healthy self-esteem, positive communication skills, and problem-solving abilities in our children. Our program also emphasizes the appreciation of diversity and difference, preparing children for a multicultural world.
Supporting Families Through Payment Assistance
Understanding that quality early education can be a financial burden, Pathways LA offers payment assistance to eligible families. Our Resource and Referral specialists are available to help determine eligibility and guide families through the application process. This support ensures that all children have access to the high-quality education they deserve.
