Pathways LA has been supporting families like yours for over 40 years. We can help you find child care, manage the costs of child care, and complete the necessary application forms. If you’re a parent and any of the following apply to you, we may be able to provide FREE or REDUCED-COST childcare assistance:
- Working or Looking for Work
- Participating in an Educational or Training Program
- Seeking Permanent Housing
Our Program Specialists work with each family to determine eligibility and help parents access child care from a provider of their choice. Parents are free to select from many child care settings, including Family Child Care Homes, Child Care Centers, and Parks and Recreation programs—even a friend, family, or neighbor can be paid to care for your child. Our Eligibility Tool once filled out will help us determine if you qualify for reduced-cost or free childcare services within the Pathways LA network. If you qualify, you’ll be invited to complete our online application for childcare financial assistance, and a Program Specialist will reach out to complete the process.
Pathways LA connects families to free child care, reduced child care, and free preschool through programs including GAIN, Cal-Learn, and CalWORKs.
