Pathways LA believes every family should have access to quality child care, regardless of income. To that end, Pathways LA helps low income families pay for child care so they can pursue their educational and career goals. Each year we work to reach more community members with services such as child care, child care provider training and workshops, referrals and resources for families and care providers, and much more.
Get Help Paying for Child Care
Pathways LA has been helping families like yours for more than 40 years—we’ll help you with finding child care, covering the costs of child care and completing the necessary application forms. If you are a parent and any of the following apply to you, we may be able to assist you with FREE or REDUCED-COST child care
- Working or Looking for Work
- Participating in an Educational or Training Program
- Seeking Permanent Housing

Complete our online application to determine if you qualify for reduced-cost or free child care services within the Pathways LA network. If you qualify, a Pathways LA Program Specialist will reach out to complete the process.
4 Easy Ways to Find Child Care
Whether you work, attend school or have a temporary emergency that takes you out of the home, your need for child care is shared by thousands of other parents. Choosing child care is one of the most important decisions families make, but all too often they must rely on word-of-mouth. Pathways LA’s Resource and Referral staff can help take the guesswork out of choosing care by providing free referrals to licensed child care providers as well as information regarding the different types of child care available to families.
