Invest in the Possible

  • The birthday girl bursts into laughter, delighting in the magical scene of confetti showering down around her.

Amidst the prevailing economic instability, we started our fiscal year 2022-2023 with unwavering compassion for the challenges faced by our children, families, providers, and staff due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19. By meeting them in their current circumstances, we placed paramount importance on safeguarding their well-being, ensuring their safety, and addressing their childcare requirements.

Despite the difficulties, we embraced these obstacles and remained steadfast in our dedication to empowering low-income working families, advocating for high-quality early care for children of all abilities, nurturing the growth of knowledgeable early care providers, and fostering economically resilient communities.

We believe that all children share a future full of endless possibilities. Driven by data and innovation, our experts support the continuum of care that includes parents, childcare providers, community partners, and policymakers.

Giving parents a voice and meeting their unique needs empowers them to attain an academic degree or vocational training, continue working, and know their children are safe and cared for. We create opportunities to explore the joys of parenthood and lean on a supportive community during difficult times.

By the end of the fiscal year, we saw an increase in families impacted by our subsidized childcare programs. The parents we serve found economic opportunities as a result of their eligibility for our subsidized programs. Childcare providers discovered new ways to manage their business, understand trauma and its symptoms, and find camaraderie with their peers. Strategic partners continued to be engaged, participating in our signature events hosted by our Family Engagement program and exchanging information and resources.

I am extremely thankful to Pathways LA for their child care services during these hard times because I do not have family that can take care of my children while I go to work. I am also grateful to Pathways because during this pandemic Pathways has helped me with resources such as food and cleaning supplies and virtual workshops with activities for my children. This has made a huge difference in my life.
