We enrolled 3,091 families, an increase of nearly 32% from FY 21-22. We also serve the neediest families in our community. Families enrolled in our program have a median annual household income below $22,000.
During the last fiscal year, we received 75,364 calls to our mainline from families seeking support in child care, an increase of nearly 71% from FY 21-22.
More than 78% of the families we serve are single-parent households, predominantly single mothers.
In the last fiscal year, we enrolled 4,876 children into assisted childcare programs.
Each month our child development experts lead professional development seminars for childcare providers. This past year our team offered 131 coaching sessions.
Our network of providers ranges from child care centers and family child care homes to family, friends, or neighbors. We have 1,805 unique providers serving our communities. The majority of providers we support are women and minority-owned small businesses, generating more than $21,000,000 of annual revenue into the local economy.
Through our Family Engagement Program, 1,719 parents and children were able to access inclusive supportive services in the form of parent education, play and learn groups, parent cafes, workshops, distributions, and fun family activities. The number of attendees was an increase of 393% from FY 21-22.
Our community is among the most racially and ethnically diverse in Los Angeles County, and the families in our programs speak more than ten languages, including Arabic, Armenian, Cantonese, English, Farsi, French, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Russian, Spanish, and others.
